TRAIL RIDE _ SUNDAY APRIL 29, 2012
Off we go, heading out to do our beach loop...only using our new "link"!
Early in the trip we come across a puddle....Now these pictures are actually the same puddle on the way back...but boy do I have a story for you about this puddle on the way in. First of all...see how Kathleen is sitting on Caddy's back...well not so much on the way in....Kathleen had VERY wet feet. (Good job getting her to go through this time Kathleen!) But wait...that is not the "story"...see the water off to the right...well it's the same on the left. This water is not the puddle...it is part of a "pond" Well Mister did not realize this, decided to pass Wind while in the puddle, went right..and right in up to his belly/chest!! Poor Marie! (Didn't think to ask her if she knew how to swim before taking on a trail ride in the woods!) It didn't phase her a bit...oh to be that brave at 10 years old!

Wasn't a great day for pictures that show the water in the foreground...colours not sharp enough..but what a view. When we got to the beach...oh oh...tide was in...so we put the whole road show in reverse and back we went (groan/smile!)
Return trip through Wilcox Road. There ar several of these home-made signs at the end of Wilcox..someone has a sense of humour!

Today's Hero (Marie...NOT Mister!) This horse was a handful the entire trip and this (brave) 10 year old child displayed the patience and consistency that most adults can only dream about (including me...I offered her my shot gun...to solve his "issues"!)
