Wind is a Clydesdale/Hanoverian gelding who joined Tidal Treasures Stables around 2010. When he arrived, he was overweight and his hooves were a mess. He was basically unrideable and not a very trusting boy. Through a lot of time, attention and hard work from various people on our team, he has turned into a gentle, loving wonderful horse who I now own and who last year placed third in a limited distance competition with my husband as the rider. I also placed with him in 4 Judge Pleasure competitions in both categories of Horsemanship and Trail Horse. Now, I am trying my hand for the very first time at a 30 mile limited distance competition coming up in May of 2012 and am currently in training mode....200 miles, 40 days, 1 girl and her horse. There are no words to describe what it felt like to finally own this guy and it has only been 5 days. I had already developed a bond with him and I love him so much, so finally becoming his owner....well, if you're a horse lover, I don't need to describe. It truly was overwhelming. Tidal Treasures and its crew is a circle of friends/family who are encouraging, inspiring, uplifting and wonderful people and who I am honored to be a part of.
