Wind 2012 - Training Day 1
Training Day 1: 8 miles at 6 miles an hour. Wind and I did about 5 miles on our own and he was so good about it, willing and responsive...until I tried to turn him around and go down the road again that is. LOL. He planted those big Clydesdale feet and would not budge for love nor money. Thankfully, my husband had joined me at this point on Spirit and they encouraged Wind to continue. We did another 3 miles and had a pretty exhilirating run near the end and back down to the stables. All in all, quite a successful day. I'm sore and tired, but it's only the beginning. We will see where this journey takes me, hopefully culminating in that 30 mile competition in less than 6 weeks. I will keep you "posted"
