One of Marie's test rides:
On November 28/14 Marie & Carrilee became the proud owners of Cinder, a lovely Bashkir Curly horse previously loved by Clara Stettler and her family. She came as Cinder but Marie is calling her Holly which is short for Holiday. Her meeting with Willow went just as Clara predicted, Holly is very smart and this trumped Willow's mare-ishness! Holly avoids drama. ;) We intend to slowly condition her for distance riding while Marie continues to part-lease and fully love Aziim.
We are very excited to bring this new buddy to the Tidal Treasures team!
We had a TON of ACTRA help here from lending us an experienced retired distance buddy for the summer, sending us ads for horses with potential, road tripping, looking at pics & videos for us and lots of support during the search. Much thanks to April & Vernon, Donna Lee, Janie and to Bev Elliott who is so much fun to take horse shopping! Marie and I are are forever grateful to you for all your help.
We said good bye to Mister this past summer, 2014. He was on this earth for 33 years! We loved him very much and I am not happy to remove him from here. So I'm just going to leave this good boy's stories right here at the bottom of this page of Marie's (& some of mine too!) next adventures.
Thank you Mister, we will always love you.
And for those of you who are wondering, Mister's friend Willow (Carrilee's partner) is with us but she is now retired from distance riding as her unsoundness returned and is seeming to stay. So we're keeping her to love & have fun with but no more long or fast rides for her!
